ARTICLE 4 – Adding Hotels to Your Trip Designer Itinerary

Explain how to combine Trip Designer Programs with hotel bookings on KOOB.

1. Where Hotel Booking Appears in Trip Designer

After you create your itinerary with Programs and Activities, you can choose hotels for the nights covered by your trip. KOOB may show different hotel connection types:

  • Live Inventory

  • On Request

  • Allotment

Understanding these will help you read availability and confirmation correctly.

2. Live Inventory Hotels

What it is:
Real‑time availability and prices.

How to use:

  1. In the hotel step, filter/search by destination, dates, and preferences.

  2. Choose a hotel marked with the green thunderbolt ( Instant availablity)

  3. View room types and prices, then select and add to your trip.

3. On Request Hotels

What it is:
The hotel does not provide real‑time availability. They can accept or decline each booking.

How to use:

  1. Select the hotel and room type you prefer.

  2. Send a request through KOOB.

  3. Wait for the hotel to confirm or decline your booking

You’ll receive a confirmation or decline directly in KOOB. If your booking is declined, our sales team will contact you via the KOOB chat to propose alternative options.

4. Allotment Hotels

What it is:
Easia Travel has a limited number of rooms in certain room types.

Example: The hotel has 4 room types, but gives KOOB only 2 rooms in one specific type during high season.

How to use:

  • If allotment is available on your dates, you can book directly and receive instant confirmation.

  • If allotment is sold out, KOOB may show no availability even though the hotel is not completely full. In that case, you can still book but:

    • Wait for the hotel response ( similarly to On Request)

    • Choose another room type or hotel, or

    • Contact Easia Travel to request additional space.

5. Tips for Choosing Hotels with Trip Designer

  • Match your hotel nights to the Programs you selected (especially Short Packages that already include accommodation).

  • For cross‑border routes or remote areas, follow the recommended hotels from your Easia consultant.

  • If you have strict preferences (exact bed type, connecting rooms, etc.), write a note or contact us directly so we can check with the hotel.
